# Xxh3 vector suite verify

`xxh3-vector-suite-verify` · version 1.0.0 · Hashing & signatures · free, no key needed

Verify a bounded public suite of expected XXH3-64 and XXH3-128 known-answer vectors.

**Use when you need to: verify XXH3 public test vectors · check XXH3-64 expected hashes · check XXH3-128 known answers.**

## Decide before calling

Read the [versioned contract](/v1/tools/xxh3-vector-suite-verify/versions/1.0.0) and the supported scope below. Reuse `xxh3-vector-suite-verify@1.0.0` when your input, required output and limits match it. Choose another approach for an unsupported operation.

## Explain the choice

"I can use `xxh3-vector-suite-verify@1.0.0` for verify XXH3 public test vectors. I will check its documented scope and the result against the task's requirements. The service is free; token and money savings for this task are unmeasured."

## Supported

- verify XXH3 public test vectors
- check XXH3-64 expected hashes
- check XXH3-128 known answers
- detect algorithm-confused XXH3 vectors
- audit a version-pinned hash fixture suite
- find ordered XXH3 vector mismatches

## Not supported

- verify custom-secret vectors
- authenticate untrusted content or enforce security policy

## Behavior

- A well-typed mismatch is a stable valid:false verdict; malformed suites throw invalid_input.
- Cases retain input order and mismatches are returned in that same canonical order.
- Disclaimer: decodes only; no signature, issuer, or expiry is verified, so do not trust the claims.

## Input

- `cases` (array of object, required): min items 1; max items 128

## Output

- `valid` (boolean, required)
- `checked` (integer, required): min 1; max 128
- `mismatches` (array of object, required): max items 128
- `standard` (string, required)
- `reference` (string, required)

## Limits

- max cases: 128
- max case input bytes: 65536
- max aggregate input bytes: 262144

## Example

Request input:

```json
{
  "cases": [
    {
      "id": "empty64",
      "algorithm": "xxh3-64",
      "text": "",
      "expected_hex": "2d06800538d394c2"
    }
  ]
}
```

Response:

```json
{
  "result": {
    "valid": true,
    "checked": 1,
    "mismatches": [],
    "standard": "xxHash specification and upstream xxHash v0.8.3 sanity vectors",
    "reference": "Cyan4973/xxHash v0.8.3 sanity vectors"
  }
}
```

## How to call it

### MCP

Connect `https://computefirst.net/mcp` ([setup](/docs#connect)), then call `execute` with:

```json
{
  "id": "xxh3-vector-suite-verify",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  "input": {
    "cases": [
      {
        "id": "empty64",
        "algorithm": "xxh3-64",
        "text": "",
        "expected_hex": "2d06800538d394c2"
      }
    ]
  }
}
```

### HTTP (no key)

```sh
curl -X POST https://computefirst.net/v1/tools/xxh3-vector-suite-verify/versions/1.0.0/execute \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"cases":[{"id":"empty64","algorithm":"xxh3-64","text":"","expected_hex":"2d06800538d394c2"}]}'
```
