Behavior

items is an array of non-array objects; extra own properties are allowed and preserved.
keys is a unique non-empty list of own string property names used as the sort tuple, in listed precedence.
Every listed key must be an own property of every item and its value must be a string; numbers, null, and missing keys are rejected.
order is asc by default or desc; comparison uses ordinary UTF-16 code-unit < and >, not localeCompare.
Equal key tuples keep original array order (stable) in both directions.
Each output item is a new null-prototype object whose own keys match the input item in Object.keys order.

order (one of "asc", "desc", optional): default "asc"
