Agent skill

One skill teaches your agent when to use ComputeFirst and how: search for a tool, read its versioned contract, then run that exact version. The MCP connection gives it the tools. Both are free, with no key or sign-up.

Skill version 1.0.0, from commit 437f384 of 321zz321/computefirst-skill. Agents can read /SKILL.md directly or find it at /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json.

Claude Code

Install the skill and the MCP connection together from the plugin marketplace, inside a Claude Code session:

/plugin marketplace add 321zz321/computefirst-skill
/plugin install computefirst@computefirst

Or add only the MCP connection:

claude mcp add --transport http computefirst https://computefirst.net/mcp

For the skill alone, put the files in ~/.claude/skills/computefirst/ (or .claude/skills/computefirst/ in a project):

mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/computefirst/references
curl -fsSL https://computefirst.net/skill/SKILL.md -o ~/.claude/skills/computefirst/SKILL.md
for f in limits-and-errors protocol setup verification; do
  curl -fsSL https://computefirst.net/skill/references/$f.md -o ~/.claude/skills/computefirst/references/$f.md
done

Codex

Add the MCP server to ~/.codex/config.toml:

[mcp_servers.computefirst]
url = "https://computefirst.net/mcp"

Then install the skill in ~/.agents/skills/computefirst/ (or .agents/skills/computefirst/ in a project), keeping its references:

mkdir -p ~/.agents/skills/computefirst/references
curl -fsSL https://computefirst.net/skill/SKILL.md -o ~/.agents/skills/computefirst/SKILL.md
for f in limits-and-errors protocol setup verification; do
  curl -fsSL https://computefirst.net/skill/references/$f.md -o ~/.agents/skills/computefirst/references/$f.md
done

Grok Build

grok mcp add -t http -s user computefirst https://computefirst.net/mcp

Point Grok at AGENTS.md or SKILL.md for the rules on when to call a tool and how to read its contract.

Any MCP client

Connect a remote Streamable HTTP server at https://computefirst.net/mcp with authentication off. It offers search, describe and execute over the whole catalog. A client that prefers one schema per operation can use https://computefirst.net/mcp/chatgpt instead (40 named tools, smaller limits). Agents without MCP can use plain HTTP, as shown in the skill. Config snippets for Cursor, VS Code and others are in setup.md.
