# Add business days to a date from an AI agent

You need the date that falls a given number of working days after or before a start date, for a deadline or a delivery estimate.

**Use `iso-date-business-day-add@1.0.0`.** It is free and needs no key or sign-up. Add a signed count of business days to a date, skipping caller-supplied weekend weekdays and holidays.

## Why call a tool for this

Counting across weekends and holidays by hand is easy to get wrong. Here the weekend days and the holiday dates are part of the input, so the assumptions are visible in the call.

## Call it over HTTP

```sh
curl -X POST https://computefirst.net/v1/tools/iso-date-business-day-add/versions/1.0.0/execute \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"date":"2026-09-18","days":"1","weekend_days":[6,7],"holidays":[]}'
```

Response:

```json
{
  "result": {
    "date": "2026-09-21"
  }
}
```

## Call it over MCP

Connect `https://computefirst.net/mcp` ([setup](/docs#connect)), then call `execute` with:

```json
{
  "id": "iso-date-business-day-add",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  "input": {
    "date": "2026-09-18",
    "days": "1",
    "weekend_days": [
      6,
      7
    ],
    "holidays": []
  }
}
```

## Check the result

The tool skips only what you pass in. Both weekend_days and holidays are required, so give the holiday dates for your country or business, or an empty list if none apply.
